To find listservs and their members:

If at anytime you would like to see who is in what listserv - follow these steps:

  • To see the members and owners of listservs, please go to this Salesforce page and search by listserv name.  If your members are only one level deep then you are done.
  • If you need to see who is in embedded listservs (several levels deep), click on the listserv in the related email group.
  • In other words: LAC_Staff@ will return:
    • LAC_admin_staff@Povertyactionlab.org
    • LAC_policy_staff@Povertyactionlab.org
    • LAC_research_staff@Povertyactionlab.org
    • LAC_executive_staff@Povertyactionlab.org
    • LAC_training_staff@Povertyactionlab.org
    • LAC_guests_staff@Povertyactionlab.org
  • To view the members of subgroups that are within a group: click on the listserv in the RELATED EMAIL GROUP section to drill down.

You will know if a listserv is auto-enroll or custom because under description on the this Salesforce page the auto-enroll will say #StaffList and the custom will either be blank or have a description.  If you are interested in creating a new custom listserv - please follow these instructions: https://sites.google.com/a/povertyactionlab.org/kb/home/it-support/listserv-management

FYI: There are two types of listservs:

1. Auto-enrolled: Meaning that people are added or removed by their RO-Vertical-Role as listed in the appointments section of Salesforce (see screenshot -- these three fields make up "staff email group 1" (and group 2 if the person needs to be in a second group).  Often times these listservs roll up into broader listservs with the highest grouping being staff@povertyactionlab.org, which contains all of the staff at global and regional offices (LAC_staff@PAL should include all current staff at LAC and so on).

2. Custom: these are requested for various reasons and do not overlap with already existing listservs.
