Transferring Ownership of a Google Calendar Event

How to Identify the Current Owner of an Event:
- Open Google Calendar: Go to Google Calendar
- Click on the Event: Find the event on your calendar and click on it.
- Check the Event Details:
- If you have permission to see the guest list, look for the name marked as Organizer—this is the owner of the event.
- If you do not see an organizer name, try looking at the event description or contacting someone else on the invite list who might know.
How to Request a Change of Ownership:
- Contact the current event owner (Organizer) and ask them to edit the event.
- They need to:
- Open the event in Google Calendar.
- Click on the "More actions" menu.
- Select "Change owner".
- Enter your email and click "Change owner".
- You will receive an email to accept ownership.
What If the Owner Left the Organization?
- If the original owner is no longer available (e.g., left the company), an admin can transfer ownership of their calendar events
- Alternatively, you can duplicate the event and invite everyone again under your ownership.
